Abbreviated MO. A high-capacity network storage device capable of storing 5.2GB on a 5.25-inch removable cartridge.
The data on the cartridge is highly stable, and so MO storage is suitable for use as backup and archival storage. MO offers access speeds of 35ms, compared with CD-RW and DVD-R, which offer speeds of between 100 and 200ms.
