About Our Community
Coffey County was founded in 1855. Since then the population has grown to over 8,000. Coffey County is easily accessed via Interstate 35 and Highway 75. Burlington, the county seat, is just 16 miles south of Beto Junction, the intersection of Highway 75 and Interstate 35. Coffey County is known as one of the most progressive counties in Kansas and is proud to be the home of the only nuclear power generating station in Kansas. |
