All loads must be tarped or properly secured and all Household Waste, Paper and Burned Material must be bagged.

FEES AND REGULATIONS Effective January 1, 2008

 Passenger Car  $2.50
 Solid Waste (in-county)  $15.00/ton ($5.00 min.)
 Solid Waste (out-of-county)  $24.00/ton ($7.50 min.)

Tires fees
Passenger Tires    $1.00
Truck Tires    $5.00
Rear Tractor Tires  $15.00
Passenger Tires (on rim)    $2.00
Truck Tires (on rim)  $10.00
Off-road Tires  $30.00

Permitted Special Waste (KDHE Permit Required) fees
55 Gallon Barrel  $15.00
In-County  $15.00/ton
       OR  
5 Gallon Container   $6.25
Out-of-County  $24.00/ton

Construction & Demolition Waste fees
In-County $12.50 / ton ($5.00 min.)
Out-of-County $21.50 / ton ($7.50 min.)

Out-of-County Solid Waste Accepted
NO Out-of-County Tires Accepted Unless they are Processed
NO Hazardous Wastes Permitted

ANNUAL SPRING AND FALL CLEAN-UP WEEKS

  • Waste is accepted at the Coffey County Landfill free of charge to county residents during the designated clean-up weeks.
  • During these two weeks, each city is encouraged to proclaim a "Clean-up Week" in conjunction with the Coffey County Landfill. Call for more details.
  • Commercial haulers will be charged the normal rates.
  • The landfill is open Monday - Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month.
