- Lebo is a quiet, full service, family oriented town.
- With good schools, the youth center, an excellent library and recreation opportunities, Lebo provides an excellent environment for youth development.
- Lebo is close to larger population centers and employment markets. Burlington, Emporia and Osage City are a short commute.
- Kids under 16 and Seniors over 65 can fish the pond at the west side of Lebo. The pond is stocked with trout in the winter months and all ages can angle for trout after purchasing a trout fishing permit at city hall. The permit costs $5.00 and can be obtained at city hall. Other species in the pond include channel catfish, walleye, largemouth bass and crappie.
- For rail fans, Lebo features one of the best spots to SAFELY watch and photograph a variety of rail traffic.

- Lebo has digital phone service, a local Internet service provider and a cable television system with pay per view movies, premium channels and an extensive range of entertainment on basic service.
- Lebo has a strong religious community as well as several active service clubs.
- Melvern Lake (3 miles north) offers recreation in boating, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.
- The Lebo City Lake offers a great fishing opportunity and a 55-acre fishery. The lake has been stocked with channel catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, small mouth bass, walley and wiper.
