Herbicides Approved For Controlling Hoary Cress

The following herbicides may be used for cost-share with landowners. Other products labeled and registered for use on this noxious weed in Kansas may be used in accordance with label directions but are not available for cost-share.

2,4-D LV Ester. Apply in the spring at the early bud stage and in the fall at the rosette stage. Follow label directions and precautions.

Dicamba (Banvel). Apply dicamba on pastures, rangeland and noncropland at the early bud stage in the spring and at the rosette stage in the fall. Follow label directions and precautions.

Metsulfuron methyl (Escort). Use 1/2 to 3/4 ounces per acre. Use lower rates for light infestations. Applications can be made up to the bloom stage. A bloom stage application has given the best results. Follow label directions and precautions.
