The Health Department offers health promotion and education for families, schools, and community groups on public health issues.

Bloodborne Pathogen Education

  • Exciting and interactive presentations on bloodborne pathogens (Hepatitis and HIV) to assist your work site to meet OSHA-required trainings
  • This service does not require a charge, however, donations are accepted

Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic

  • Held every year in coordination with the Hospital, EMS, Sheriff, Police Department, and regional partners

Screening Lab Draws: $20

  • Complete Blood Count
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (includes cholesterol) 
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone 
  • A variety of additional tests such as Prostate Specific Antigen and Hemoglobin A1C can be added to the basic panel for an additional $5

Team Challenge

  • 8-week program starting in January
  • Determine fitness level and earn points each week
  • Encourage exercise and healthy habits
  • Form teams from 2 to 10 people
  • Free t-shirt at the end of the team meets their fitness level

Annual 2k/5K Wellness Waddle

  • $20 entry fee
  • Held in the spring
