Forbes Field, a commercial airport at Topeka, is located 50 miles north of Coffey County. Philip Billard Airport offers parcel and air freight, general aviation, and corporate aircraft service. Kansas City International Airport (KCI), 1-1/2 hours northeast, offers scheduled commercial airlines.


Railroads serving the county are Union Pacific at LeRoy and Burlington-Northern-Santa Fe at Lebo. The nearest inter-modal terminal is 45 miles.
